FPInnovations is a partnership currently involving more than 300
Primary, Secondary,
Supplier and
Government members.
Members are lumber, composites and other value-added wood
products manufacturing companies, as well as Natural Resources Canada
(Canadian Forest Service); the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta,
Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia,
Newfoundland-Labrador; and the Government of Yukon. Our Supplier
members include sawmill and panel equipment manufacturers, suppliers
of chemicals and adhesives, etc., all of which have strong ties
to the wood products sector.
FPInnovations' purpose is to support its members in their efforts to
improve the quality of their products, add value throughout the
manufacturing chain, reduce production costs, expand market share,
and monitor market trends. This is achieved through research and
development projects as well as client-specific proprietary contracts.
Member companies pay annual fees based on their production
(Primary) or a percentage of gross sales (Secondary and Supplier).
