The Wood Products Division has various Program Advisory Committees (PAC) which report to the National Research Program Committee (NRPC) and provide guidance for the programs and projects to ensure relevance to members and timeliness of delivery. Individual PAC members receive quarterly reports from project leaders, provide continual input to projects and assist with technology transfer strategies. They may also act as Project Liaisons to projects of specific interest to them.

Each PAC covers a specific area:

• Resource Assessment
• Lumber Manufacturing (includes sawmilling, drying and protection)
• Composites Products Manufacturing
• Building Systems (includes wood engineering, fire resistance, seismic, durability, market access and economics, etc.)
• Value-added

Other committees have also been created to address specific areas:

• Value-added Research Advisory Committee
  (Value to Wood Program)
• Hardwood Processing Advisory Committee

For our members, we offer:

• Preparing for PAC meetings (members)

Committee members are drawn from interested parties within our membership and major partners, from industry, governments and the scientific community.
