bandsaw active guide and monitoring systems  FPInnovations
has developed a self-aligning Bandsaw Guide System that monitors
bandsaw cutting behaviour and minimises cutting bias and sawblade
deviation. This system will provide operators with:
- reduced saw blade deviation
- Improved saw blade cutting accuracy
- Decreased target sizes
- Increased feed speeds
- Increased fibre recovery
While the Bandsaw Monitoring System records the cutting accuracy of
the bandsaw, he Active Guide System periodically adjusts the guide
alignment so as to minimize deviation. Together, these systems dramatically
reduce sawblade deviation so as to improve cutting accuracy.
